Important:

The two racks, 60.000 and 60.050 supports standard Niskin water samples as well as KC special models. Capacity of 1,7 - 2,5 - 5,0 and 7,5 litres.

If you intend to use larger bottles please specify by ordering. A rack for 10 litre supports also smaller bottles of any size.

General:

The rack is made of AISI 316 stainless steel and has a capacity of 6, 12 or 24 Niskin water samplers. The release system is motor driven (24 Volt DC) and can be released manually or fully programmable by mounting of an optional time lapsed trigger (60.010).

 

The water sampler tube is made of PVC and the top and bottom lids are made of PVC and the interior is totally free from metal parts.

The top and bottom lids are held together with a rubber tube (RS-40 Latex).

 

 

Models:

The rack is available in two models:

60.000 - capacity: 12 bottles

60.050 - capacity: 6 bottles

60.070 - capacity: 24 bottles

 

Niskin bottles:

The bottles are available in different sizes with a range from 1,7 litre to 10,0 litre.

Other applications:

The Niskin water sampler can also be used as a single unit by mounting of a center hanger (60.002). Requires drop messenger 60.004 - 800 gr. 

 

The Niskin water samplers can also be used in series (cascade) and closes correspondingly. Each water sampler requires a drop messenger. (60.001 - 400 gr.)

 

Low cost Niskin bottles:

To minimize the costs we have developed a special Niskin bottle which will fit only for the rack system. Can be used as a standard sampler by adding components.

On the Niskin water sampler you must pass and secure the wire through the handle. This method will keep the top lid in the correct position, so it will not get hit by the drop messenger during the release.

The latex rubber band for closing the lids has a limited warranty and direct exposure to sunlight for a longer period will shorten durability.
