Chambers for studying exchange rates over the sediment-water interface are normally manufactured in POM or coated titanium.
Stirring devices creating calibrated flow regimes over the sediment surface are manufactured with a feed-back check of the stirring rate. Water sub-sampling within and outside the chamber at discrete time intervals are optional, as is an hydraulically driven shovel for recovery of the incubated sediment core. |
