The closing mechanism   Piston rod for extruding the sample from the core tube	The corer is designed for taking samples in hard sandy sediment. The corer is fully made of AISI 316 stainless steel and electro polished. On the top of the corer body are placed 4 pcs steering fins and it is possible to increase the weight by adding up to 24 pcs 2 kg lead weights (optional) placed at the fins. As standard the corer is equipped with 2 pcs 7 kg lead weights mounted below the steering fins. The corer tube is manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel and in the mouth a carver (nose piece) is mounted.
