Application:
Sampler for collecting bottom sediments for biological,
hydrological and environmental studies.
General:
The grab is based on the Van Veen design. It is
made of AISI 316 stainless steel and the
surface is electro polished. The grab itself is manufactured from
3 mm plate (250 cm²),
Higher perfomance:
Can be achieved by adding 4 extra lead weights, 4 x 1 kg,
item 13.310-4 (optional).
ISO norm:
Adding four 12.151 lids fitted with stainless-steel mesh
and rubber mats reduces the shock wave generated during deployment.
This upgrade ensures compliance with the Norwegian implementation
of ISO 16665, Water quality - Guidelines for quantitative
sampling and sample processing of marine soft-bottom
macrofauna.
