13.100 B - Gravity corer, diameter 88,9 mm:

Application:
The 13.100 B gravity corer Ø88,9 mm is designed for taking samples in sandy sediment featuring a detachable core tube with a maximum length of 6 m, (optional). Up to 12 m in soft or muddy sediment. The corer is fully manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel. Finish: Electro polish.

The top of the corer has 6 steering fins and below a platform with room for a total of 10 lead weights, each 20 kg. (Standard delivery comes with 2 pcs of lead weights).

13.540 - Gravity corer, complete, consists of:
• 1 pc corer body with steering fins and weight platform
• 1 pc corer tube AISI 316 stainless steel. Length 1500 mm
• 2 pcs lead weights, 20 kg each
• 1 pc orange peel closing system                                         
• 1 pc carver
• 1 pc PVC internal liner, grey, 1500 mm
• Weight: 130 kg (with two lead weights)
• Max. weight with 10 pcs lead weights: 290 kg
• Comes with 1 package of spikes 3,4 x 90 mm (13.185)

Extending the length of the 13.100 B gravity Corer:
Each core tube has a length of 1,5 m, by using a coupling device (13.183) you are able to extend the overall tube length of the corer by 1,5 m in each interval.

We recommend the standard size for the core does not exceed 3 m, however in very soft sediment samples of 6 m or up to 12 m are possible. As an alternative, KC Denmark offer a variety of larger gravity corers capable of taking longer samples (13.770 gravity corer Ø121 mm or 13.750 gravity corer Ø140 mm), we recommend 10 lead weights for a 3 m sample or longer on our 13.540 Ø101,6 mm gravity corer.

13.160 - Extension for piston corer functionality:

To make the gravity corer function as a piston corer, the extension package 13.560 can be bought, the standard module comes with a 1.5 m wire, please note that if the gravity corer has been extended in length, a new wire kit need to be bought.

The standard package 13.160 consists of:
• 1 pc Kullenberg releaser inclusive Ø4 mm wire
• 1 pc weight station (30 kg) for Kullenberg releaser
• 1 pc cap nut with shackle
• 1 pc piston
• 1 pc stainless steel wire for 1500 mm core tube or additional kit, see below
