12.210 - Van Veen grab - 1000 cm²:

Application:
Sampler for collecting bottom sediments for biological, hydrological and environmental studies.

General:
The  grab is based on the Van Veen design. It is made of AISI 316 stainless steel and the surface is electro polished. The grab itself is manufactured from 3 mm plate (250 cm²), 4 mm for 1000 cm² and 8 mm for a 2000 cm².

Models marked with * have lids with stainless steel mesh and rubber mats to reduce the shock wave. They all fulfills the Norwegian ISO standard (16665 Water quality - Guidelines for quantitative sampling and sample processing for of marine soft-bottom macro fauna). Most standard grabs can easily be upgraded to the ISO norm by adding new frames and lids.

12.205 Lead weights 5 kg:

Our 12.205 lead weights are used for the Van Veen grabs 1000 cm², each having a weight of 5 kg, and a maximum of 4 lead weights can be used on the grab.
