Box Corer 7500 cm² - 75 cm penetration

Box Corer 7500 cm² - 75 cm penetration

80.775 - Box Corer 7500 cm² with a penetration of 75 cm

Application:
The KC Denmark box corer series is a marine geological sampling tool designed for collecting soft sediment samples from lakes or oceans. It is deployed from a research vessel using a deep-sea wire and is suitable for use at any water depth. The design minimizes disturbance of the sediment surface caused by bow-wave effects, which is essential for quantitative investigations of benthic micro- to macrofauna, geochemical processes, bottom water sampling, and sedimentological studies.

The box corer is also available with a penetration depth of 40 cm (80.740) or 50 cm (80.750).

Dimensions:

• Height, loaded:
• Bottom frame: (released position):
• Sample area: 86,6 x 86,6 cm
• Contents of sample tube: Approx. 400 L
• Penetration depth: 75 cm
• Maximum weight: Approx. 3650 kg with 16 additional weights
• A minimum clearance height of approximately 6,5 m is required for proper operation
• Finish: Electro polish
• Weight: Approx. 2850 kg (standard delivery)

Camera option:

For a max. sample depth of 500 m, the video and light option, 19.680 CAM can be added. The box corer frame is preconfigured for installation of this unit.
